The bus ride to Disneyland wasn’t exactly the safest.
Throughout the six-hour trip, Dr. Wolfe managed to trip over the multiple people sleeping on the floor.
This trip did have its purpose; a stage manager brought us to backstage Disney, which wasn’t quite as magical as expected. We were led into a recording studio where we had ten minutes to learn “I See the Light” before recording it. And according to Herr Gray, we “sounded better than expected.”
Nasrynn Chowdhury said that “it was really fun working in a real recording studio,” and others agreed the experience also makes you appreciate skills such as sight reading. Dr. Wolfe was “so pleased that we got to experience what it takes to be a real musician.”
This Disney trip was worthwhile even if you weren’t planning on becoming a professional musician.
Once finished with the recording, 14 hours were left to wander around both Disneyland and California Adventure. Considering that not only is Disneyland the happiest place on earth, but that it also serves fried chicken, all high school students are encouraged to join Cantamus and go with us to Disneyland next year.
