If you walk into the new courtyard and look at the ground, you will see bricks. These are no ordinary bricks, however, but bricks with words on them. They are a part of the continuing paving project. This project was started with the motive to fundraise to make capital improvements to the school: to complete the science classrooms, to trim the trees (a blessing for those cursed with allergies), and complete other modifications.
The small square of memories already in the ground has ensured $20,000 towards the program. The next goal for the paving project is to complete the path across the gathering area, and then to fill the entire patio over the next few years.
Dave Maza is in charge of installing the bricks that are in the courtyard. To order the bricks, go to the Tempe Prep website and click on Support TPA. Under Brick Campaign you will be able to choose between three different sizes. A 12×12 brick is $500, an 8×8 brick is $250, and the smallest size, an 8×4 brick, is $125. Along with the size option, you can customize which text you want to have printed on the brick. Anyone is able to buy a brick. The bricks are tax deductible, but do not count towards the extracurricular tax credit.
The brick patio will add a lasting design to the new courtyard area and provide a place for special dedications and remembrances to those who are a part of the TPA community. You can contact Mr. Maza at Dave@remodeltempe.com.
Buying a paver is a great idea; you can help “Pave the way to a better TPA” and be remembered forever.
