Tempe Prep football has always been looking for a championship, and under the leadership of head coach Chris Kartchner, that dream has become a reality. On Nov. 4, our middle school Knights took it to Veritas Prep with a score of 22-20.
Gabe Brittain, the captain and eighth grade quarterback, had two touchdowns alongside co-captain and running back Dallin Kartchner, who also had two touchdowns.
Another eighth grader, Jacob Dendy had an interception, which kept the team’s lead and helped secure the win.
They took the whole division by storm, ending with an 11-0 record. Dallin Kartchner had this to say about his team: “I’m gonna miss playing with all my friends, but I’m glad we could get a win for my dad. It was a great season and I can’t wait for the high school ones ahead of us.”
