JV Girls
JV girls soccer kicks off the season with a new set of freshmen, new players, along with returning players. The girls have a strong bond with each other and with that bond comes teamwork. The sophomores are proud of the freshmen for learning fast, even the ones that have not played soccer in the past.
The girls soccer team has not only doubled in size but skill. Which with the right amount of skill in games will take the girls far in the season.
Sophomore Rebekah Chadwick tries her best to improve her skills and help the rest of the girls improve their skills as well. Rebekah says, “I really see potential in this team, because everyone is doing their best at practices and games.”
Sophomore Anna Moriarty hopes to improve in fighting to get the ball aggressively and trying new positions. Both Rebekah and Anna look forward in the season to see how everyone grows as a team and in skill. The JV girls soccer team has the teamwork that will pay off soon. The girls are off to a great start!
JV Boys
The JV boys soccer team kicks off the season with a new set of freshmen, along with returning players. They’re becoming more than students of TPA, they’re forming a brotherhood that plays as a team. From the older brother viewpoint, sophomore Natsuki Saballos says, “The freshmen act like fun younger brothers and surprise the older brothers.”
All the freshmen have great potential and the older brothers cannot wait for them to shine. Natsuki plans to give them all of the advice he has gained from his peers and coaches. His coaches push him to the limit, and that will soon pay off.
At TPA and other schools, soccer teams are increasing in size. Soccer develops teamwork which reflects in the games. If the ball gets through the strikers then the midfielders have to stop the other team. The JV boys soccer team has trust, determination, and at the end of the day brotherhood!
