The softball season is just starting to ramp up and so is Tempe Prep’s team. The girls have two games under their belt already and are improving each time they play.
While the team is rather short on experienced players, they are making up for it with a wealth of new, talented girls. If you need to see it to believe, look no further than junior Abbi Harb, who in the first game of the season scored three home runs.
Senior Makenna Colton explains, “We have many new players who are very good and picking up the game quick.”
The girls are a month into their season and have been training intensely. They train a lot and practice lots of drills to improve their game. Throughout the season, they are hoping to grow together as a team.
Senior Maria Zello outlined the team’s goals for the season as “to work together and improve our softball skills.” With these goals in mind, I am sure the softball team will grow into a very competitive team by the end of their season.
