You can find a summer program for every one of your hobbies. From language to STEM and then art. To start your knowledge of summer programs you should look at TPA’s very own summer academy.
If you are interested in learning a different language, you will like Concordia Language Villages. You choose a language and are put in a cabin where the only language you speak is that one. You still do camp activities, of course.
If you are looking for something more simple you can sign up for the ASU StarTalk Chinese/Russian Program. You can also sign up for Speech & Debate camps to practice your writing and debating skills.
Some of the STEM programs are ASU Summer Transportation Institute of Engineering. During this program, you will not ride cars or buses, but you will look at how they and other things work. ASU Robotics Camps are also great for future engineering students.
Another program available is Barrett Summer Scholars. You might want to also try hospital volunteering.
Each one of these programs will help you meet people and get more familiar with something you are passionate about. It will give you experience that will help later when you are researching for a program that will help with college. If you want to learn about high school programs, you may go to Summer Programs Information Night 2018 in the spring.
