Last week was probably one of the most chaotic and jam-packed weeks of the whole school year. It was a whirlwind of a short three-day week, added to spirit week with the pep rally, powder puff, the middle school lock in, the multiple volleyball games, the cross country meet, college day, the fiesta lunch, the homecoming football game, and the homecoming dance.

We started off the week with dynamic duo day, and quickly moved to decades day, as each grade was assigned a set of decades to dress up as. Last came color day, as the seniors showed off with their own color and the rest of the grades showed their spirit with their given color.

We ended spirit week with a pep rally, and Mr. Cates and Mr. Weiss showed off their true colors, with Mr. Cates narrowly winning the lip syncing battle. (He may have bribed the crowd, but no penalty was enforced).

That night, the upperclassmen girls narrowly escaped defeat and won the power puff game by one touchdown.

Thursday marked the beginning of the lock-in, as middle schoolers all came to the gym to participate in fun games such as dodgeball and capture the flag, along with keeping the chaperones up all night.

As Friday hit, college day jumped into action, bringing multiple amazing universities from all over the country to our school. Students got to ask questions and look for schools that fit their interests.

Later that night, our football team delivered a devastating blow to San Carlos, defeating them 64-22. This enthusiasm spilled into the dance, letting all the high schooler cap off an amazing week with an amazing dance. It really was worth the wait, and it was just what we all needed.

It couldn’t have happened, however without people like Mrs. Moffitt, Mr. Lambros, Mr. Keating and Dr. Porter. Be sure to thank them, and keep that TPA spirit throughout the rest of this school year. Let’s go Knights!
