Your heart is pounding. Butterflies flutter in your stomach. You finally approach the drop and BOOM! Down the roller coaster you go all around the park. Sounds pretty epic right? Well it sure is! This year Tempe Preparatory Academy gave their high school students the opportunity to go on an amazing trip to Six Flags. All the students who went, including me, had a blast, and now we recommend that you do too, next year.
Firstly, we started the awesome trip with an early departure of 12 a.m. to California, on Friday night. “I was excited to have a great time with some of my best friends, plus be able to experience the thrilling roller coaster,” freshman Gabriella Sabo states about first leaving for the trip. And she was not the only one, for the bus was full of excitement when we started to leave. We finally arrived in California and stopped for a breakfast of muffins, fruit, juice, and more. We then made our way to the park, and as the gates opened all of us rushed in.
All of us with our assigned groups made it on time to be among of the first people in line for our favorite rides. “It was an amazing experience to get to hang out with friends and go on all the thrilling rides!” freshman Amanda Maurer explains. I 100 percent agree with Amanda, because the rides were all exhilarating and doing it with friends adds the perfect touch to an amazing trip.
We had a great time riding roller coasters all throughout the day, and eventually met up with the whole group for dinner. After we all had dinner, we were back off into our groups and rode more rides until 11:30 p.m. when we started to leave the park. “I had so much fun with my friends and was beguiled by the awesome rides! Definitely worth waiting the long lines and my friends made it so much fun too, I hope to go again!” Dahlia Welter says. The whole day was amazing, as Dahlia says, but left all of us very tired. So all of us quickly got on the bus and started our departure home. We arrived back at Tempe Prep at 7 a.m. Sunday morning, had a day of rest, and returned to school the next day.
The whole trip was exhilarating and I know that everybody had a great time. The trip is open to all Tempe Preparatory Academy’s high school students and will happen once again next year. So prepare yourself for the time of your life and be ready to sign up for next year’s amazing trip to Six Flags!
