Do you want to learn how to stay out of debt and how to manage your money? Then listen up all juniors and seniors! On Feb. 13 during lunch and paideia come learn about managing money, managing bank accounts, real estate/investments, debt, credit/debit cards, retirement, and more!

Emily Schwartz from MidFirst Bank will lead the seminar.

Anah Hargrove, the senior in charge of planning the event, asked Emily Schwartz, a Financial Education Manager from MidFirst Bank, to come and share her knowledge at Tempe Prep. Anah met Emily while attending the Fleischer Scholars Program at ASU and Anah said she “learned so much from [Emily’s] presentation, I thought it would be awesome for others to learn from her too.”

Emily’s job is to travel to different schools and learning environments to teach others about money. She is highly qualified. If you are not an adult, there is a good chance you need to learn more about some of the topics that will be discussed at the seminar. I will be attending, and I highly recommend that you do too.

Mrs. Moffit is the teacher sponsor, and when she is in charge, you know you will definitely learn some useful information. And best of all, it is completely free! This has never happened before, and might not for a while, so I highly recommend going this time. If you are unsure whether or not to attend, just remember: money matters!
