No fake news here! Newspaper Club is the perfect way for high schoolers and middle-schoolers to share stories about students and faculty. Your writing skills can help keep your peers informed about campus activities as you develop a wide variety of skills. If you want to be a journalist or a reporter, then Newspaper is the perfect way to gain some experience.
This club also allows you to practice meeting deadlines, talking to people, and using colloquial language in writing. These are valuable life skills worth developing no matter what you plan on pursuing as a career.
The De Equitibus Committee, led by Mr. Schuster, is a hard-working community that is really rewarding to be a part of. Editors Clara Moffitt, Hayden Sampson, and Maya Kostov do a great job of encouraging club members to write to the best of their ability. Clara, who runs meetings and works as Editor-in-Chief, says, “It can be a break from your five-paragraph essay and it’s just a fun way to get to know other students and I highly recommend.”
Every Friday morning at 7:25 in room 504, we discuss writing tips over doughnuts. Join Newspaper Club to become the author of your own articles.
