The novel coronavirus pandemic is having major impacts on people’s everyday lives. In-class school and sport seasons are cancelled. Social events are postponed. Most people are social distancing.
During this time, however, businesses are struggling more than ever. They rely on customers to make money. Due to the pandemic, however, a lot of businesses are forced to close down for safety, which means no customers — and no money. However, some businesses are making adjustments to keep customers happy, and to try to stay in business.
Back East Bagels is a popular bagel shop near Tempe Prep. To keep selling bagels, they have turned their restaurant into a curbside business. This is a good way to keep customers coming. Back East Bagels sponsors Tempe Prep! Go get a bagel and support their business!
Raising Cane’s is also a very popular fast-food restaurant, visited by many people in Tempe. They also have shut down their dining rooms due to safety reasons, but they are also doing curb-side orders. Raising Cane’s is also a Tempe Prep sponsor, so try to support them as well.
Another way people can support small businesses during this time is to buy gift cards and gift certificates for future visits. Most restaurants and stores are offering these, and it is a great and safe way to keep businesses open. Stay safe, Knights!
