What is the SAT? Glad you asked! The SAT is one of the finest standardized tests you can take. Once you begin your wonderful journey into high school, you will discover the joys of standardized testing.

This is by far one of the hardest tests I have ever taken before, but do not let that scare you from taking advantage of this test since it gives a wonderful amount of amazing opportunities. Most all colleges will want to see your SAT or ACT score for reference along with your GPA.

Although this test is difficult you can always prepare for it well. Here at our very own TPA, we offer some SAT classes to help you prepare and do your best. Teachers at our school teach these classes quite well. Over the summer I attended this class and gained a large amount of wonderful knowledge to help me on the SAT.

However, TPA is not the only place that can help you prepare for the SAT. At The Princeton Review, you can go into a variety of learning approaches for the SAT or ACT. The Princeton Review is very confident in their program, guaranteeing a score of 1400 or above on the SAT and a 31 or above on the ACT. I took this course over the summer with my friend Cameron Hill. My experience with the program was amazing; the teachers were very nice and helpful. My score has increased by over 300 points.

“Taking this class improved my score by around 250 points,” states Cameron. Nonetheless, I do not believe this class will provide an easy 1400; the work within is extensive. Cameron says that “there was a lot of work for the class, but it helped me develop critical thinking skills with math and English, which will be useful for the test, high school, and beyond.”

Taking this class or other classes can help you become more of a critical thinker, helping you in all kinds of different ways. Many teachers and students are willing to help get you on the right track for the SAT. Do not be afraid to ask Mrs. Moffitt or other faculty for help or advice. This school is the place to be for achieving the score you desire!
