This year we have welcomed many new teachers to our TPA community. One of our newest teachers is Ms. Webb. Ms. Webb graduated from ASU in December of 2019 with a degree in secondary education. The TPA curriculum was appealing to Ms. Webb because she has always loved literature and reading.

In the brief time she has been with TPA, she is very impressed with the students. “The students are eager to learn, and all of the faculty are very collaborative.”

During high school, she participated in the Northern Arizona Vocational Institute of Technology program. This meant that she was taking high school classes for half of the day and cosmetology classes at the nearby college for the other half.

Ms. Webb did not always know she wanted to be a teacher. At first, she went to school for cosmetology. She was a hairdresser for a while, but after a while, she went back to school for sociology. While studying sociology, she decided that she wanted to become a teacher.

In college she was a member of the English club. Some of her hobbies include reading and hiking. Her favorite books are the Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter. She also enjoys sports, particularly soccer, hockey, and basketball. Her favorite teams are the Phoenix Suns and the St. Louis Blues.
