Theresa O’connor and Connor Clark are Tempe Prep Leaders

By Clark Campbell

Whether it’s through National Honor Society, Student Life, Spanish Club, Speech and Debate, Congressional Award Club, Yearbook and Newspaper, these two seniors basically rule the school. Connor Clark and Theresa O’Connor lead many of the clubs and programs around TPA.  Connor, a senior who’s been at TPA since sixth grade, is president of National Honor Society, Student life and Co-President of Speech and Debate. Connor got involved with most of these clubs as soon as he could, and through his hard work, became leader of these extracurriculars. . Connor says, “I started in all these clubs, because I thought they were interesting, but I learned to love them, and then lead them myself.”

Theresa, who’s also been at TPA since sixth grade, has also worked hard to become a leader in many clubs. Theresa is president of Spanish Club, Co-President of Speech and Debate, Editor-in-Chief of Newspaper and Co-Editor of Yearbook. Theresa says, “I was lucky enough to receive several opportunities to lead different extracurricular clubs and my hope is to foster this same initiative spirit in students at Tempe Prep through group projects and collective efforts to make not only school, but the community a better place. ”

Both Connor and Theresa participate in Congressional Award Club. Connor has achieved a Bronze Medal award, which requires 100 service hours, and Theresa has achieved a Gold Medal award, which requires 400 service hours.

Both Connor and Theresa wouldn’t have gotten to where they are now without the support of peers, teachers, parents, and many others. Many seniors and juniors have helped these two  students in their endeavors.

Thank you to our student upperclassmen and underclassmen student leaders!
