Let’s go knights! TPA’s Hoopcoming fair was a huge success! Its purpose was to heighten school spirit, provide an opportunity for students and families to support TPA’s basketball teams and encourage people to socialize and hang out with their friends. The fair certainly achieved these goals.
The Hoopcoming fair was held at the TPA gym on Friday, January 10th.
TPA provided food trucks and bounce houses for the event. There was a corn dog and a waffle food truck where people who attended were able to get a delicious snack. There were multiple bouncy houses, which many students said were their favorite part of the event. Seventh grader Tess Hurlbut said, “I had lots of fun hanging out with my friends and playing in the bounce houses.”
The students not only enjoyed the games and food outside, but they also had lots of fun cheering on the basketball teams, especially the Varsity Boys who played at 7:00 against Veritas Preparatory Academy.
It was a very exciting and close game and students loved cheering on their team. Junior Ava Butler said her favorite part was watching and cheering for the basketball team. She said that “there was so much school spirit and such a fun team to watch and cheer for.”
Even TPA’s cheer team was there, encouraging the players and taking the lead on the school spirit.
Hoopcoming was organized by Mr. Lambros, Mrs. Mause and Mrs. Magana.
This event had a great turnout, and countless students and families attended. It was super successful, and it was a great way for students and families to socialize and support TPA’s school spirit. The students who attended encourage TPA to host a similar event next year.
