Lady Knights have built winning record heading into playoffs

This season, the girls soccer team scored many goals, both literally and figuratively. They recently won a game against Lincoln Prep 8-0, which is a huge score.

According to junior Cienna Jaime, who is also one of the team captains, the team has “won more than lost and we have had a very successful season this year. We’re 19th in the state and hoping to win the next games to secure our spot in the state playoffs.”

They played their last home game on Jan. 30 against Trivium Prep. It was also Senior Night.

When asked about her favorite part of this season, Cienna responded, “My favorite part of this season has to be watching us progress and come closer while having the opportunity to make the playoffs this year.”

Senior Lily Welter, who is also a team captain, states “I’ve been so proud of having more wins than losses, keeping a great record, and continuing to improve our skills. I think that we have a great chance of us making it into the playoffs if we keep up this mentality, have a positive attitude, and keep working hard.”

When asked about her favorite part of the season, Lily responded, “Oh gosh I loved every moment of this season! I mostly have enjoyed all the bonding we have done as a team and how close we all are. My favorite part of the season was maybe one of the practices we had where we just played a bunch of bonding games, like this juggling game we play, and the first person to get three strikes gets shot on. It’s so much fun.”

It’s no secret that the girls are having a massively successful season this year, so hopefully they can continue their success into the playoffs!
