A sophomore said, “Comfy day was amazing!,” while another said, “Old people day was ageist.” “Old people can wear whatever they want, so it’s basically just a free dress day, ” another added.
Boys’ powderpuff game
The boys’ powderpuff volleyball game was held on March 25. The game was a classic upperclassmen vs. underclassmen match, which the underclassmen won 3-0. Student Life president Julia Cady helped plan the event and says, “Powderpuff went so well! It is always such a fun night of the year and we are so happy we were able to play this fun game before spring formal!” Overall, the night was a success and everyone is excited for next year’s game, when the teams will slightly change as the grades do, and the upperclassmen will try to take back the title.
Spring Formal
This year’s Spring Formal dance was a dreamy enchanted forest; high school students drifted into the auditorium in sharp suits and glittering dresses. Attendees had lots of praise for the event. Their opinions are anonymous so they could share freely. “The DJ was a lot better this time!” said a junior. A sophomore said, “Attendance was really high, the music was fun, and it was overall a great experience! I really liked the snacks this time, and the access to refreshments. It was a really nice touch.”
A few students also shared their thoughts on improvement for future dances. A sophomore says, “The slow dance songs weren’t really slow dance songs. We should do a classical waltz next time!” Another student said, “It was really nice at Homecoming when we were able to go outside to the basketball court.” This was a common response. Many students liked the ability to enjoy the fresh air and take a break from the loud music. Overall, the Spring Formal dance was a huge hit for students to enjoy themselves with their friends.
