Do you enjoy singing but your family gets annoyed by how much you do so?

If this sounds like you, then the Bel Canto choir might be the perfect club to pursue your interest.. Bel Canto is the new middle-school choir and just like their high-school counterpart, Cantamus, Bel Canto rehearses music pieces together and sings them for the school. Membersmeets once a week on Mondays at 7:05 a.m. in the Evdokimo Auditorium. Every middle schooler is welcomed: auditions are not required; and all you have to do is register on Infinite Campus.

The club’s director and conductor is Mrs. Sara Turley. Over the course of the school year, she says that members will be able to improve their voices, have fun singing and perform interesting songs. She loves singing because “singing elevates spirits, touches souls, and helps shape character.”

Seventh-grader Leah Sahl loves to sing and meet new people which is why she joined the choir.. They are preparing to sing a variety of songs including “Jingle Bells” and “The Arrow and the Song” at their next concert on Monday, Dec. 5 at 6:00 p.m. in the auditorium. “We are excited to be singing a song with Cantamus and also be able to sing with the two string groups,” says Mrs. Turley.

The choir could always use more singers. If you are interested, come meet Mrs. Turley and the other members for Bel Canto on Monday at 7:05 in the auditorium!
